The Last Egret
In 2012 the Bergeron Everglades Foundation, Wells Fargo & The Batchelor Foundation donated 22,000 books for every Broward County Public School 4th grader. "The Last Egret gives teachers the opportunity for innovative and interdisciplinary instruction,” said Broward School Board member Robin Bartleman.
Youth Leadership Broward
For the last decade the Bergeron Everglades Foundation has hosted Youth Leadership Broward's Environmental Day. In an extraordinary exploration of Florida's unique ecosystems, Youth Leadership Broward participants embarked on an enlightening Environmental Day that spanned from the lush Sawgrass prairies of the Everglades to the vibrant Seagrass beds of our marine environment.

Bergeron Everglades Environmental Steward Scholarship
The Bergeron Everglades Environmental Steward Scholarship offers two $20,000 awards to Florida high school seniors aiming to pursue a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences/studies at a Florida college. Funded by Ronald M. Bergeron, the scholarship requires applicants to show financial need (family income below $65,000), perseverance, a minimum GPA of 2.0, and U.S. citizenship.
