Advocacy & Policy
Through effective advocacy efforts, we aim to raise awareness about the importance of the Everglades and the challenges it faces. We work tirelessly to build alliances, engage stakeholders, and educate decision-makers at all levels to prioritize the preservation and restoration of this fragile ecosystem.
Research
Our foundation actively engages in policy and research initiatives, collaborating with experts, scientists, and policymakers to generate common sense solutions with the environment regarded as the number one stakeholder.
Education
We believe that knowledge is the key to change. By providing comprehensive environmental education programs, we empower individuals, students, and future leaders with the information and tools needed to become passionate stewards of the Everglades.
Our Everglades
The Everglades, a sprawling tapestry of wetlands and mangroves, unfolds like nature’s grand masterpiece from central to south Florida. This mysterious landscape, often described as a slow-moving river of grass, is not only a sanctuary of immense natural beauty but also one of the most vital ecosystems in the world. The Everglades provides critical habitats for a wide array of wildlife, including endangered species like the Florida panther, West Indian manatee, and American crocodile. Its complex web of sawgrass prairies, ancient cypress swamps, and freshwater sloughs forms the backbone of South Florida’s water system, supplying fresh water to nearly 8 million people. The shimmering waters, teeming with a mosaic of life, also act as a natural filter, cleansing water as it flows toward Florida Bay. As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and International Biosphere Reserve, the Everglades plays an indispensable role in maintaining biodiversity and protecting against climate change. Here, the wildness of nature thrives, offering a glimpse into a world both serene and untamed, a timeless dance of water and wilderness that sustains both human life and the environment.

Our Everglades
A unique and vast wetland ecosystem in southern Florida, spanning over 1.5 million acres of subtropical wilderness. This "River of Grass" is characterized by its slow-moving waters, sawgrass marshes, mangrove forests, and diverse habitats that support a wide range of wildlife, including alligators, birds, and the endangered Florida panther. Renowned for its biodiversity, the Everglades plays a crucial role in maintaining the environmental health of the region by filtering water, providing flood control, and supporting numerous plant and animal species. Despite its ecological significance, the Everglades faces ongoing threats from urban development, pollution, and climate change, making conservation efforts essential for its preservation.
Advocacy
Advocating for the protection of the Everglades involves a multifaceted approach that includes raising public awareness, supporting legislation, and engaging in community activism. Educating the public about the ecological importance and current threats to the Everglades can foster a sense of stewardship and urgency. Supporting and lobbying for legislation that funds conservation projects, restricts harmful development, and promotes sustainable practices is crucial.
