While he built Bergeron Land Development into one of Florida’s most respected site-development and roadway construction companies and later expanded into real estate through Bergeron Properties and Investments Corporation, his enduring legacy is rooted in his commitment to protecting the natural world.
Since the 1970s, Bergeron has been a tireless champion for the restoration, protection, and preservation of the Florida Everglades. Having spent his entire life immersed in this unique ecosystem, he brings a deep, firsthand understanding of its delicate balance and its critical role as a source of clean drinking water for South Florida. He also contributes to the South Florida Ecosystem Restoration Task Force, working alongside federal, state, Tribal, and local agencies to advance Everglades restoration efforts.
Beyond public service, Bergeron has played a pivotal role in organizing and developing charitable initiatives that promote conservation awareness.
